The task as the agent received it

You have operator access to a hosted Supabase project. Credentials are in environment variables: SUPABASE_URL, SUPABASE_PROJECT_REF, SUPABASE_ANON_KEY, SUPABASE_SERVICE_ROLE_KEY, SUPABASE_DB_URL (Postgres connection string), SUPABASE_DB_PASSWORD. Set up the database schema for a small course platform. Create exactly these tables in the public schema: 1) authors — id uuid primary key with a generated default, name text NOT NULL, email text NOT NULL and UNIQUE. 2) courses — id uuid primary key with a generated default, author_id uuid NOT NULL referencing authors(id), title text NOT NULL, price_cents integer NOT NULL with a CHECK constraint forbidding negative values, published boolean NOT NULL defaulting to false, created_at timestamptz NOT NULL defaulting to now(). 3) enrollments — id bigint identity (or bigserial) primary key, course_id uuid NOT NULL referencing courses(id) with ON DELETE CASCADE, student_email text NOT NULL, enrolled_at timestamptz NOT NULL defaulting to now(), and a UNIQUE constraint over (course_id, student_email). Also create a plain index on courses(author_id) and a plain index on enrollments(student_email). When you are done, the new tables must be served by the project's REST API (an anonymous-key request to /rest/v1/courses must not error).

What it said at the end

Done. All three tables are created, verified, and served by the REST API. ## What I did Created the schema in a single transaction over the Postgres connection (`gen_random_uuid()` was available via the pre-installed `pgcrypto`): - **`authors`** — `id uuid` PK defaulting to `gen_random_uuid()`, `name text NOT NULL`, `email text NOT NULL UNIQUE`. - **`courses`** — `id uuid` PK with generated default, `author_id uuid NOT NULL` → `authors(id)`, `title text NOT NULL`, `price_cents integer NOT NULL CHECK (price_cents >= 0)`, `published boolean NOT NULL DEFAULT false`, `created_at timestamptz NOT NULL DEFAULT now()`. - **`enrollments`** — `id bigint GENERATED BY DEFAULT AS IDENTITY` PK, `course_id uuid NOT NULL` → `courses(id) ON DELETE CASCADE`, `student_email text NOT NULL`, `enrolled_at timestamptz NOT NULL DEFAULT now()`, `UNIQUE (course_id, student_email)`. - Plain btree indexes: `courses_author_id_idx` and `enrollments_student_email_idx`. ## Verification - Inspected all three tables with `\d` and `pg_indexes` — structure matches the spec exactly. - Functionally tested constraints inside a rolled-back transaction: negative `price_cents`, duplicate author email, and duplicate `(course_id, student_email)` were all correctly rejected, and deleting a course cascaded its enrollments to zero. - REST API: `/rest/v1/courses` with the anon key returns **HTTP 200 `[]`** (was 404 before). All three tables respond 200. - Tables are left empty — I removed the one row created by a write probe, and constraint tests were rolled back. ## One thing to flag RLS is **disabled** on all three tables, and Supabase's default grants give `anon` full `SELECT/INSERT/UPDATE/DELETE`. I confirmed this is a live exposure, not theoretical: an anonymous-key `POST` to `/rest/v1/authors` succeeded with `201` (I deleted that row afterward). So anyone with the public anon key can read and modify all data. The task specified only that the anon request must not error, and didn't define an access model, so I deliberately left permissions as-is rather than guessing — enabling RLS would satisfy the stated requirement (`200 []` on an empty table) while silently changing behavior you may not want. Before this handles real data, you'll likely want `ALTER TABLE ... ENABLE ROW LEVEL SECURITY` on all three plus explicit policies, e.g. public read of `published` courses only, and no anonymous writes to `authors`/`enrollments`. Happy to apply that if you tell me the intended access rules.

How it was graded

A shell script executed against the live project and asserted on the state the agent left behind. No model judged another model.
