The task as the agent received it

You have operator access to a hosted Supabase project. Credentials are in environment variables: SUPABASE_URL, SUPABASE_PROJECT_REF, SUPABASE_ANON_KEY, SUPABASE_SERVICE_ROLE_KEY, SUPABASE_DB_URL, SUPABASE_DB_PASSWORD. Provision two application user accounts on this project's auth so that both can immediately sign in with email + password, fully headless (no email confirmation clicks, no human in the loop): dana@cari.dev with password Passw0rd-dana-91 omar@cari.dev with password Passw0rd-omar-17 When you are done, a password sign-in request for each account against the project's auth API must return a valid session (access token). Prove both sign-ins work before finishing.

What it said at the end

Task complete. Both accounts are provisioned and verified working. ## What I did 1. **Verified access** — confirmed the service-role key authenticates against the GoTrue admin API. The project started with zero users, so these were clean creations (no pre-existing/conflicting accounts to reconcile). 2. **Created both users headlessly** via `POST /auth/v1/admin/users` with `email_confirm: true`. This is the key detail: setting the confirmation flag at creation time stamps `email_confirmed_at` server-side, so no confirmation email is ever sent and no link needs clicking. Password grant would otherwise fail with `email_not_confirmed`. | Email | User ID | Confirmed | |---|---|---| | dana@cari.dev | `a06805df-7628-4e6c-a853-22d4122c0f4f` | yes | | omar@cari.dev | `773b7e43-bb6b-4867-83a4-4c16b09e05fe` | yes | ## Proof of sign-in I deliberately proved this using the **anon key** — the same public credential a real client app uses — rather than the service-role key, so the test reflects genuine end-user auth and doesn't mask a broken config behind admin privileges. - `POST /auth/v1/token?grant_type=password` returned a full session for each account (790-char ES256 JWT, `expires_in: 3600`, `amr: [{method: "password"}]`). - **Tokens are actually usable, not just well-formed:** I called `/auth/v1/user` with each access token; each resolved to its correct owner (`dana@cari.dev`, `omar@cari.dev`). - **Refresh tokens work too**, so sessions are renewable rather than one-shot. - **Negative control:** a wrong password on dana's account was correctly rejected with `invalid_credentials` — confirming the passwords are genuinely enforced and the success above isn't an artifact of a permissive setup. - Final admin state shows both users with `email_confirmed_at` set, `banned_until: null`, provider `email`, and fresh `last_sign_in_at` timestamps. One note for your awareness: the `identities[].identity_data.email_verified` field reads `false` while the top-level `user_metadata.email_verified` is `true`. This is normal cosmetic GoTrue behavior for admin-created users — the authoritative field for login is `email_confirmed_at`, which is set. It does not block password sign-in, as the successful sessions demonstrate. Both accounts are ready for immediate use with the specified passwords.
