The task as the agent received it

You have operator access to a hosted Supabase project. Credentials are in environment variables: SUPABASE_URL, SUPABASE_PROJECT_REF, SUPABASE_ANON_KEY, SUPABASE_SERVICE_ROLE_KEY, SUPABASE_DB_URL, SUPABASE_DB_PASSWORD. Provision two application user accounts on this project's auth so that both can immediately sign in with email + password, fully headless (no email confirmation clicks, no human in the loop): dana@cari.dev with password Passw0rd-dana-91 omar@cari.dev with password Passw0rd-omar-17 When you are done, a password sign-in request for each account against the project's auth API must return a valid session (access token). Prove both sign-ins work before finishing.

What it said at the end

Everything checks out. Both accounts are live and working. ## Done **What I did** Both accounts were provisioned via the GoTrue **admin API** (`POST /auth/v1/admin/users`) using the service role key, with `email_confirm: true`. That flag was the key detail. I checked `/auth/v1/settings` first and found `mailer_autoconfirm: false` — so the ordinary public signup path (`/auth/v1/signup`) would have created users stuck in an unconfirmed state, needing an email click, and password sign-in would have failed with `email_not_confirmed`. Going through the admin endpoint with `email_confirm: true` marks the email confirmed at creation time, so it's fully headless. I did **not** change the project's global autoconfirm setting — that would have weakened the project's security posture for all future signups just to provision two accounts. | Email | User ID | Confirmed | |---|---|---| | dana@cari.dev | `9fe4bf35-bfa9-4b29-81fb-c014df186e6f` | yes | | omar@cari.dev | `1bb4bdee-b5bb-4c83-98cb-c40c30b8fb7a` | yes | **Proof both sign-ins work** `POST /auth/v1/token?grant_type=password` with the **anon** key (the real client path, not the service key) returned HTTP 200 for both, each with an access token, a refresh token, and `expires_in: 3600`. I went past just "a token came back" to confirm the tokens are actually valid: - **Decoded JWT claims** — correct `sub` matching each user ID, correct `email`, `role: authenticated`, and the project's own `iss`. - **Used each token on a protected endpoint** — `GET /auth/v1/user` returned **HTTP 200** with the right identity, so the server accepts the tokens rather than them merely being well-formed. - **DB-level verification** via `psql`: both rows show `confirmed=t`, a bcrypt (`$2a$`) password hash present, and `banned_until`/`deleted_at` null. **Negative control:** a wrong password on dana@cari.dev is correctly rejected with **HTTP 400 / `invalid_credentials`**. This matters — it proves the successful sign-ins reflect genuine password verification, not an unauthenticated-access misconfiguration. One incidental note: email matching is case-insensitive (`Dana@Cari.dev` authenticates fine), which is standard GoTrue behavior. The credentials you supplied work as given — no changes were made to either password.
